Corporate History

Bringing Deep Technical Expertise and 25 Years of Field Proven Experience to Every Customer Mission

Corporate Structure

UltiSat is an independent wholly-owned subsidiary of the global communications company, Speedcast. UltiSat is a completely separate and independent company, with its own board of directors, governance, security clearances, financing, facilities, information technology, and dedicated personnel. This allows UltiSat to focus exclusively on the unique mission requirements of government and critical infrastructure customers, while still benefitting from the buying power and scale of a larger commercial organization. UltiSat is a U.S. based company incorporated in Delaware and fully authorized to provide services to U.S. government customers.

History & Future

Today UltiSat combines the heritage and capabilities of two proven predecessor companies. The merger creates a larger, stronger and more capable solutions provider that brings a broader range of offerings to the customer. Founded in 2003, in the Washington D.C. area, the first generation of UltiSat focused on providing advanced managed network services of satellite and terrestrial connectivity, as well as a unique skill set in the airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) market. Globecomm was founded in 1996, in the New York metro area with a concentration on complex systems integration and professional services, as well as a unique global roaming wireless services capability.

In 2017 and 2018, the global telecom company Speedcast acquired UltiSat and Globecomm. The combined government related businesses were merged and briefly operated under the name Speedcast Government.

As the company completed the integration process and began to chart its growth course for the future, an updated UltiSat brand was reasserted in 2020. Today UltiSat combines the strengths, capabilities, and market reach of the predecessor businesses into a next generation company that offers a more full-featured end-to-end network and communications solutions portfolio that can be tailor to the unique requirements of each customer.
